When a seasoned group of galactic bounty hunters stumbles upon an unexpected stowaway—a human—on their ship, they find themselves entangled in a web of secrets and danger. Humans, known for their fierce aggression and resilience, are thought to be nothing more than mindless brutes, only suitable for the grim underground fight rings, but Jay is different. She has no memory of her life before being discovered on the ship. As Captain Krynn and his crew delve deeper into the enigma surrounding their unexpected guest, they uncover a startling truth: humans are far more complex and sentient than anyone ever imagined. As they traverse the galaxy, visiting new and mysterious worlds, they must also confront the ever-looming threat of the Infestors, a relentless robotic race with the terrifying ability to deconstruct matter at the atomic level.
Amidst the cosmic battles and unfolding mysteries, Bluejay explores the powerful theme of found family and presents a realistic representation of mental and physical disabilities. In a race against time, Krynn and Jay must discover the hidden truths that could change the fate of the galaxy forever.
I was truly blessed to be a pre-reader for Bluejay Odyssey, and I can honestly say this story is something special. From the very first page, I was pulled into an adventure that’s as emotional as it is thrilling—full of highs that make your heart soar and lows that tug deeply at your soul.
The characters are written with such depth and authenticity that you don’t just read about them—you feel like you’re right there on the ship with Jay and Karyn. Their struggles, triumphs, and moments of quiet reflection stay with you long after you’ve closed the book. The worldbuilding is rich and immersive, and every twist in the journey keeps you turning the pages, hungry for more.
Bluejay Odyssey isn’t just a book—it’s an experience, one that will make you think, feel, and dream right alongside its characters. I can’t wait to see where their journey takes us next.
